The BGD 301 DuPont Impact Tester is designed to assess the impact endurance of coated materials. Place the coated side of the specimen facing upwards and attach it to the specified radius Impact Head. Apply a specific weight to impact the Impact Head from a fixed height, and subsequently, inspect for any damage or deformation of the coating.
This tester is compatible with ASTM D 2794, JISK 5400, and CNS 10756 standards.
Conducting an impact test on coated substrates involves using an impact head with various round angles to initiate contact with the specimen. A selected weight is then dropped freely from a specified height to strike the impact head and impact the specimen. Repeat this process for three additional specimens, and inspect these specimens after one hour for any signs of cracking in the paint.
