One-Sided Applicators (Bird type)
The Bar-Type One-Sided Applicator is a precision tool for producing uniform wet films of coatings, inks, and related products on flat test substrates for laboratory testing and quality control. It is manufactured using modern metallurgical technology and a precision grinding machine to ensure highly reproducible film thickness. The accuracy of the gap depth is ±1.0 µm (50 µm and below) or 2% of full scale, making it suitable for both research and routine QC applications.
Designed in accordance with ASTM D823 and ASTM D3022, it is ideal for preparing test panels for measurements such as hiding power, color, gloss, adhesion, and other coating properties. The applicator is made of high-grade, corrosion-resistant 440C stainless steel, providing long-term dimensional stability and durability in demanding laboratory environments.
