BGD 526-S Wet Abrasion Scrub Tester with Image Recognition In the assessment of wall paints and related products for scrub resistance, operators are tasked with recording the number of cycles required to remove a continuous thin line of paint film spanning the 12.7mm (1/2 in.) width of the shim. However, accurately judging this 12.7mm length poses a challenge as different operators often have varying standards. To ensure precise and prompt determination of the test endpoint, operators not only need to predict the cycles of scrub resistance but also accurately identify the length of the removed paint film, which can be quite challenging during practical operations.
The BGD 526/S Wet Abrasion Scrub Tester with Image Recognition addresses these challenges by automatically identifying and calculating the length of the test sample from abrasion to the substrate (exposed bottom). This innovative equipment can simultaneously monitor the wet abrasion scrub of samples from two channels, eliminating the need for on-site monitoring. Once the exposed length of the test sample reaches the operator-set "threshold," the instrument halts automatically, recording the current scrub times, thereby enabling unattended operation. Additionally, operators can review actual pictures of the test panel post-scrubbing as many times as needed and export these images to a U disk for further analysis.
