BGD 218/219 series - Automatic Film Applicators
The automatic film applicators, models BGD 218-S and BGD 219-S, provide chemists with a convenient tool for precisely applying coating films on various substrates. This automation reduces and eliminates errors associated with manual processes. The key factors influencing the draw-down process include the shear rate and downward force applied to the applicator tool. The automatic film applicator significantly enhances the reproducibility of paint films.
We offer a full range of automatic film applicators, BGD 218-1S and BGD 218-2S with vacuum bed. Film applicator BGD 218-3 offers additional heating which can be used for highly viscous products. Our automatic film applicator BGD 219-S with holding device has been designed with a glass bed as drawdown bed, and not - like the BGD 218 - with a vacuum bed. The main use is to apply films on hard substrates, such as metal or glass.
