Falling Sand Abrasion Tester (ASTM D 968)

Product Description

The BGD 529 Falling Sand Abrasion Tester is designed in accordance with ASTM D 968. It is suitable for determining the abrasion resistance of organic coatings. During testing, abrasive material is allowed to fall from a specified height through a guide tube onto a coated panel until the substrate becomes visible. The amount of abrasive per unit film thickness is reported as the abrasion resistance of the coating on the panel.
